LaRon Louis Landry (born October 14, 1984) is an strong safety for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL). He played four years of college football for Louisiana State University (LSU), and earned All-American honors. The Washington Redskins selected him with the sixth overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft and he played five years as their starting safety. LaRon then went to the New York Jets as a free agent in 2010, where he was selected and played in the NFL Pro Bowl.

 

Landry is the younger brother of New York Jets safety Dawan Landry.

During his time with the LSU, Landry's fans and teammates began calling him "Dirty 30" for his jersey number and aggressive playing style. He was also nicknamed "Iron Man" by his Redskins teammates for his physique.
